Scott Winkler, PE
As a Vice President at Southland Engineering, Scott Winkler is responsible for the engineering and coordination departments within our Dulles, Virginia, office. His past roles in government public works gave him a unique insight into federal contracting and enhanced his technical experience.
With over three decades of industry experience, Mr. Winkler has expertise in utilizing steam and pneumatic systems, as well as fire protection and building information modeling. His vast knowledge of how the latest energy codes affect the strengths and weaknesses of mechanical systems used in the Washington DC climate aided in his work on the Pentagon renovation and Census Bureau facility.
Mr. Winkler received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University. He is actively involved in industry organizations, such as American Society of Heating Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers, National Fire Protection Association, and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers.
