Matt Volgyi, PE
As a Principal Engineer at Southland Engineering, Matt Volgyi is responsible for leading a group of engineers to provide design-build, design-assist, or design-only services for large-scale projects within our Garden Grove office. Mr. Volgyi is motivated by innovative designs that lead to strong collaborative efforts among clients and design teams.
With nearly 30 years of consulting and design-build experience, Mr. Volgyi’s expertise lies in mechanical services, simulation, controls, and coordination. His vast knowledge in delivering large-scale mixed-use, healthcare, and laboratory projects have aided in work with noteworthy projects, such as Glendale Adventist Medical Center and Kaiser Downey Medical Center, both of which have received design awards.
Mr. Volgyi received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and an MBA from California State University, Northridge. He is currently involved in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers.
