Michael Hallenbeck, PE, CEM
As a Principal Engineer at Southland Engineering, Michael Hallenbeck oversees the mechanical design department within our Phoenix office and is responsible for maintaining standards and project deliverables. He is dedicated to recruiting and mentoring aspiring design engineers and providing next-generation client relationship leaders.
Since joining the industry in 2000, Mr. Hallenbeck has become an expert in developing informative lifecycle cost analyses, as well as collaborating with project management, estimating, and maintenance staff to develop sustainable, constructible, and maintainable design solutions. His extensive knowledge of mission critical, hospitality, and industrial market segments aided in his work on significant projects, such as M Resort, Washington Headquarters Services, and San Fernando Valley Family Support Center.
Mr. Hallenbeck received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is actively involved in industry organizations, like the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers, the Association of Energy Engineers, and is a certified energy manager.
