Chris Skoug, PE
As a Principal Engineer at Southland Engineering, Chris Skoug is the engineering lead for the lifecycle of projects within our Dulles, Virginia, office. He is also responsible for interacting and effectively communicating with other engineering trades and focuses on creating client-based engineering solutions.
With 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Skoug’s expertise lies in mechanical services, design-build, and energy modeling. His extensive knowledge of large central plant designs including steam, chilled water, and heated hot water, as well as 100 percent outside air system applications aided his work with notable projects, such as Walter Reed Community Hospital, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Hospital, and Penn Medicine New Patient Pavilion.
Mr. Skoug received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University. He is actively involved in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers.
